Even before the month Mercedes announced that during the Paris Motor Show will present outdoor versions of its supercar AMG GT. The presentation of two modifications - Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster and GT C Roadster, took a separate event in the French capital by car surprised with a number of technical solutions. Both cars are created based on the coupe coupe GT / GT S, but differ significantly from them. Some technologies in both roadster are borrowed directly from the runway modification Mercedes-AMG GT R. The company decided to equip roadster with a soft top that lowers and retracts in 11 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h. The roof can be in 3 colors - red, black or beige. But this is insignificant trifle compared to the technical characteristics of the model.
Exposed modifications received 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 engine from the standard GT, but its power is changed. The entry-level roadster develops 476 hp against 462 hp Coupé and C version has 557 hp and surpasses by 47 hp coupe GT S. Top version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds (0.3 seconds faster than the standard Roadster) and top speed is 316 km/h.
Versiyaga Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster is close to the speedway GT R compared to other models of the family. Rear of the car is wider by 57 mm. Furthermore, the open version received chassis, electronic differential, and special settings 7-speed robotized gearbox with two clutch. There is also a competitive mode of transport. Sales of the model will start in early 2017, with prices yet to be announced.
