Pictures of testing a prototype supercar McLaren P14, which will replace McLaren 650S, were published in internet. The coupe was shot without any camouflage during testing in Spain. At present the project to create a new model of the British manufacturer is known for its code name P14. The car will be officially presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Judging by the photos, the interior will receive different bumpers, revised front and new LED headlights.
It is expected that the receiver of the 650S is equipped with a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8, which will be part of a hybrid powerplant. System output will exceed 700 hp, which will allow the new coupe to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 3.0 seconds. The current model relies on 650 hp and does the same for 3.3 seconds, and top speed is 333 km/h.
The new supercar, McLaren is part of the brand strategy, which foresees investment of 1 billion GBP until 2022. Half of the new models of the company, which will occur during this period will be a hybrid.
