The first official pictures of the new extreme modification of the McLaren 650S. It named 688 High Sport and is the fastest model of the British manufacturer after hybrid coupe P1. At the heart of this machine is the most powerful and fast modification of the model 650S - 675LT. The weight of the supercar has been reduced by 40 kg and reached 1190 kg.
As announced earlier, the interior has improved aerodynamics, including adaptive antikrilo which can also serve as an air brake. It provides the downforce of 220 kg at a speed of 240 km/h. Furthermore, the vehicle is received and integrated roof spoiler, air intakes on the front fenders and side skirts different. Any additional aerodynamic components are made of carbon.
The new coupe is equipped with a system for recording and studying the telemetry, which analyzes information from the passage of a tour of the track. This is assisted by three cameras and GPS-sensor. McLaren 688 HS is equipped with an upgraded 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine developing 688 hp and 700 Nm of torque. The transmission is a 7-speed 2 connector. Data on the dynamic qualities of the car are missing, but the version 675LT, which relies on the same engine, but with 675 hp, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h.
The modification will be released in a limited edition of 25 pieces, as yet to become clear price.
