British supercar maker McLaren began working on creating a 4-seats, which will have to compete with supercar Ferrari GTC4Lusso, as well as fastbeka Porsche Panamera. It acknowledged in an interview with Motoring one of the top managers of the company Duncan Forester. According to him, the company’s management is confident in the creation of such a model, but it is uncertain whether he will seek enough because of its high price.
In McLaren believe that the new car should fall into one of three existing families models offered by the manufacturer. These are basic supercars Sports Series, a sports and exercise Super Series and the most expensive and extreme Ultimate Series. So, if created, the machine will use on any of them, probably the extended version of the McLaren 570S.
Duncan Forrester also denied allegations that the company plans to make the crossover to be sold under the brand McLaren. “We are the best producer of two-seater sports car in the world and hardly any of our customers will come to order SUV,” said a top manager.
