Lamborghini will try to attract the attention of women and families with its new Urus. That new model is a crossover and will be available later in 2018.
“The bull is aggressive by nature,” said Domenicali, referring to models like the Aventador and Huracan. “But it can be a noble and friendly - just like the upcoming Urus”, he added.
The head of the brand, whose emblem depicts exactly a raging bull, determine the Urus as “game changer”. With its new crossover Lamborghini will try to attract an entirely new group of clients, thus planning to increase more than doubled its sales. In 2015 Lamborghini sold 3245 vehicles, only 5% of customers were women. Urus need to change that, offering extensive customization options, and an enviable practicality. According to Domenicali model will represent an extremely attractive proposition for women aged 30-45 years who define themselves as “heroes of their own lives.”
According to J.D. Power & Associates, over 50% of customers crossovers worldwide are precisely the women. Moreover crossover segment grew by an impressive 177% over the past five years. And this is more than sufficient reason companies including Lamborghini, to invest in this type of car.
“We are a small company, but we know how to do exceptional cars. We have a record supercar, but Urus will be something new and different”, said Domenicali.
The prices of the Lamborghini Urus will start at around 200,000 dollars, is planned to be produced in about 3500 copies a year.
