The engine power of the supercar Dodge Viper from model year 2015 will be increased, according to the newspaper Road & Track, which managed to take a specification power unit issued by the American Society of Automotive Engineers. Currently 8.4-liter naturally aspirated engine with 10 cylinders developing 649 hp, but they will grow to 654 hp. The maximum torque will be maintained - 814 Nm. So far not revealed what will be revised engine, but expect the Dodge engineers improved exhaust system and to revise the block management unit.
In June it became clear that supercar Viper, which previously were offered under the brand SRT, by 2015 will become part of the model range of Dodge. As a self SRT division lasted only two years. Only in 2014 production Viper was stopped twice due to lower sales.
